Where to get these products

Get your template ready

Print the template from above.   Be sure to print Actual Size for the best results.  Cut around dark grey area.  Trace this cut out onto the cardboard piece and cut the cardboard piece to fit.

Choose one of the four sides- in the middle make two marks that have 1.75" in between.  This is for your opening to the bag.

On your cardboard template write two numbers....      7.5"       and       15.5oz

Q&A Template

Cut your fabric

Get your fabric ready by cutting the 1 yard of fabric into 7.5" squares. For one set, you will need 8 squares of each color fabric.

Now that you have your cardboard template and 7.5" squares, let's get them ready:

Line up two pieces of duck cloth together with the decorative sides facing each other. Place your cardboard template on top. You should see a 1/2" space of fabric from the cardboard to the edge of the fabric. Trace around the cardboard to the marks.

Ready to sew

Everyone has their way to sew cornhole bags for maximum strength.

Back-stitch at the beginning and end of the sewing. Use a triple stretch stitch on your template mark from one side of the opening to the other.

On the outside of the straight stitch, you can do a zig-zag stitch. Keep just to the outside of the stitch without overlapping stitches for bag integrity (this is not always done but is good if you play every day and is not necessary for casual use).

When finished with stitching- trim at all four corners. Follow the picture for directions.

Beginning to see shape

Turn your bag inside out. You can use a small piece of wood to push out the corners or use a closed pen or pencil.

Weigh your Corn to 15.5oz (or approximately 2 cups). Use your funnel to fill your bag. I suggested weighing the bags after to be positive and add when needed up to 16oz (1lb).

Do not overfill your bag; you risk failure or explosion on board impact.

Close it up

Lastly, close the bag up. I choose to use a small amount of Fabric Fuse glue and a well-placed pin. You can also only use a well-placed pin.

Choose one of two stitches here: Overlock stitch (my choice) or zig-zag stitch (popular).

You can stitch over the closing or you can stitch the entirety of the side of the bag.

Have fun and share your finished product if you choose!
